Week Off Challenge!

Skip, Skip , Skip we did it when we were young, we played doubles and created rhymes to go with it! 🙂

Time to get back into skip mode! Practice the art…

  1. Keep it simple, relax, and find your rhythm
  2. Jump with both feet (as we do in classes) and land on the balls of your feet
  3. Lift your feet off the floor just high enough for the rope to pass quickly.
  4. Avoid jumping to high or landing too hard.
  5. Bend your knees slightly, rather than locking them (helps absorb your weight)
  6. Keep shoulders relaxed and hands at your side, and turn rope with your wrists, – not with your arms
  7. BE PATIENT 🙂 skipping may need practice
    • 100 Rope Turns
    • 10 Burpees
    • 10 Pushups
    • 10 Bodyweight Squats
  • Repeat the circuit 10 times. 😉 REST when needed and time yourself, you will want to eventually beat your time. Post your time!
Jump rope training will enhance:

  • Coordination
  • Agility
  • Quickness
  • Footwork
  • Endurance
  • FUN!
